Terry was born at a very early age in 1947, Bradford, West Yorks. His early drawings at age 11 were commented on favourably and started something that is still in progress. As a young man his intense interest in wild animals took him to study at Art School to enhance his style and techniques. A lifetime of work and raising a family put this interest on the 'back burner' for many years, only for it to re-surface in the 1990's.

 Terry's other interests are:-

Music; Terry plays the tuba having played  in many of Yorkshires top brass bands as well as training hundreds of youngsters over the years and conducting a junior band.

Baking; Visitors to craft fairs will also know Terry for his wonderful range of home baked cookies. He can also be found at Farmers Markets in Cleckheaton, Holmfirth, Halifax and is now supplying Harewood House near Leeds.

Sport; Back when Pontious was a pilot Terry played Rugby League for Bradford Northern (now Bradford Bulls). Injury forced an early end to this career now he is content to support both them and a certain football club in Leeds.

So 'old big head' is now retired from his career in safety and engineering.  His early passion for art is now to the fore and he is finding himself in great demand for his excellent portrayals of treasured pets and wildlife with a hint  of his humour in the titles.

Commissions undertaken from your own photographs
Each picture will be created using a variety of media; pastel, graphite pencil and watercolour as appropriate to the subject.

The final work will be supplied backed and window mounted ready for the frame of your choice.

All final sizes will match an ‘off the  shelf’ frame size.

Framing can be done by me but it will incure extra cost  including extra postal charge if necessary.

Full payment is charged ONLY when you are satisfied with the completed work.  A 25% deposit is required on ordering with clear pricing so you know beforehand what the charge will be.

After discussing the size you need, send some of your favourite photographs of your pet either by email or post, posted photographs will be returned, a final cost for the work will be quoted at this point.

When the work is complete an  image will be sent, again, by post or email, for you to approve.  If you approve, the finished work will be delivered together with a complimentary mounted print of your picture. An invoice will be in the package—but even at this stage the picture can be returned with you owing nothing extra.

Pricing structure

 Single animal A4 artwork, finished mounted size 35.5cm(14inches) by 28cm (11inches)     

£50 plus £5 p&p

Single animal A3 artwork, finished mounted size 40.5cm(16inches) by  51cm (20inches)

£90 plus £7 p&p

More than one pet can be on the picture but the fee will increase.
For example:- 2 pets on A4 £75;   A3 £135

A further example is a picture showing 4 Old English Sheep Dogs against the backdrop of the bridge at Kenmore. The negotiated fee for this was £175
